Temperature

It’s worth remembering that what is a comfortable temperature for you might not be ideal for your plants. Yes, some varieties can handle temperature fluctuations, but many cannot.

Most plants bought for the home are comfortable in temperatures between 18°C and 24°C, with a night temperature not lower than 10°C.  But plants also don’t like sudden temperature fluctuations, so be careful not to leave them near fireplaces or near drafts.

When thinking about temperature, consider the following:

  1. Plant type, follow instructions.
  2. Season and seasonality.
  3. Time of day and UV levels.
  4. Humidity of the home (can also be affected by seasons).
